A nice watch?

Want to buy a nice and not too expensive watch but not keen on the branded ones I see in town (Radley, Jasper Conran etc). Any ideas where I can get a nice not-on-the-high-street watch? And I tried 'not on the high street' just incase anybody suggests it :-) Budget circa £100-130

I like fossil watches as they have different styles - loads on Amazon to browse through.

I have developed a love for Olivia burton watches

She has quite plain ones through to quite floral but one of her themes is bees which i love!

Was just going to say Olivia Burton watches, they are really lovely, I was lucky enough to be given one for a recent significant birthday.

mrsfeatherbottom · 14/08/2018 18:41

I got a Fossil watch for my birthday last year - I ❤️ it!

Whatififall · 14/08/2018 18:54

I also recommend Olivia Burton. I have a plain black one which looks a lot pricier than it was. Lots of lovely designs if you want something quirkier but I love the plain black face/gold markings.

DorisDays · 14/08/2018 19:03

Olivia Burton rings a bell - I'll have another look!

I love my skagen

MissT2095 · 14/08/2018 19:22

Daniel wellington. I now have two. Some beautiful understated designs that aren't too expensive for my everyday wear. And you can swap the straps

Haffiana · 14/08/2018 19:44

Fossil.

greenjojocat · 14/08/2018 21:52

Daniel Wellington here, lovely tan leather strap and they are interchangeable too

DorisDays · 15/08/2018 07:08

Ooh I do like the cobra and Bellamy ones @secretsciurusvulgaris

Skagen here too. Simple silver and gold, a real classic and never bores me to look at but not too blingy or tacky.

Bluelady · 15/08/2018 12:21

Skagen here too.

Fleuried · 15/08/2018 12:30

Following.
I got a Cluse for Christmas but wouldn't recommend it as it scratched within weeks of normal wear and looks a mess now but I can't justify a new one yet.

KTD27 · 15/08/2018 17:45

Oh I’ve fallen in love with the cobra and Bellamy ones after reading this! They’ve discontinued the one I want though. Boo!

midsomermurderess · 15/08/2018 19:53

I recently bought a Lilienthal watch. They are very unfussy, large face, choice of leather strap colours. www.lilienthal.berlin/uk/l1-silver-white-red?c=1

MamehaSan · 15/08/2018 20:08

Skagen skagen skagen! I love them, very understated and classy (imo)

Tryingtogetitright · 15/08/2018 20:11

I love Citizen Ecodrive watches - loads of different styles. Often discounted...

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 15/08/2018 20:44

Try Bering. I love mine

If you can stretch your budget by £5 to £135, have a look at the cheaper Mr Jones Watches. Very unique and supports a small business. I have 5 (ahem, cough!) of their watches and they're just lovely.

I like the look of Cluse.

hammeringinmyhead · 16/08/2018 10:17

Sorry, just seen previous comments on Cluse! A friend has a nice one though.

3stonedown · 16/08/2018 10:20

I have a Bulova I absolutely love. Had it 3 years and only taken off for swimming and baths. It's nothing amazing, silver, hands are a dark blue and has the tiniest diamonds instead of numbers, but not blingy. I don't get many comments on it which is what I like as it doesn't draw attention.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 17/08/2018 18:40

Ditto Skagen - bought from Amazon.
