Toast coats

Why are they not lined? I love this, but it isn't lined. I like the straight coat, the mannish look, the colour, the fabric, but why is it not lined? I don't understand the madness, surely it will affect the way it hangs. Almost perfect. But not quite.
Why would anyone produce an unlined coat?

It's their 'early autumn' collection, so lined ones should come later.

Weird. All my Toast coats are lined. Are you sure this one isn't - have you seen it IRL? On the photo where you can see the label it clearly isn't on the reverse of the external cloth, but on black.

I have a very similar coat from last year's Toast range. Mine is lined with cotton which I have found not to be a problem, I can get my arms in and out without problems and it and it hangs very well. I did notice some reviews for m coat complaining about the cotton lining, from people who said it made it difficult to get on and off. Maybe this year they decided to dispense with the lining? Sounds pretty stupid to me, a coat of that quality and price needs to be lined. The coats are always massively reduced in the sale, so I wouldn't buy one until then.
Toast dresses are somewhat strange these days but the knitwear and coats/jackets are usually very nice. Recent price rises mean I can only really afford to buy in the sale.

Ah yes, been to see it irl, and it is actually lined. I think I have found the new addition to my coat closet.

It is beautiful, in case anyone else was considering it.

I loved one of their coats and saved up for it. I adored it but it wasn't warm despite being wool and because it was wool it very quickly bobbled and developed a huge hole within months where my leather bag rubbed against it. My bag was just a soft plain satchel type bag so not at all abrasive. I was really sad (and cross).
