How to get the 'Kate Middleton' swishy hair?

I've got long-ish hair (around bra strap length), I have the Babyliss Big Hair but I find that it is too large to get the swishy ends and it just ends up looking a bit flat.

Does anyone have any recommendations, either a round brush recommendation that will help improve my blow dries or a curling wand to give a faux blow dry look.

Thank you!

You either need to learn to blowdry or learn to curl it with a large-barreled curling wand.

A hairdresser can teach you to blowdry, or you can look up tutorials on YouTube.

I personally find blowdrying too difficult, so I invested in a large-barreled curling wand. You want a barrel of 32mm or above, ideally. I have this one, which gives huge waves:

I do all my hair, flip it over, then hairspray. Then I flip it back and ruffle it up with my hands.
