My favourite ankle boots have had it and I thought I might buy some brogues for a change. Any recommendations?

Have you seen the Rogue Matilda ones? They're so pretty but a bit out of my budget unfortunately.

phoebemac · 10/08/2018 08:48

Oh, just googled them. So lovely but out of my price range too!

My trusted ones are just from New Look and for £25 they've been well worth the money for comfort and lasting well.

Thanks will have a peek. I quite like the Hamble Oak ones from Clarks as well. Not as glam as Rogue Matilda though!

I love Clarks hamble oaks - I've got them in tan, burgundy, navy, silver and gold Grin you can often get them cheaper on the Clarks Outlet website. TK Maxx sometimes has interesting brogues.

I love brogues! Loving the Rogue Matilda ones! I had a lovely pair from Jigsaw last year and I've worn them loads!

oohyoudevilyou · 10/08/2018 13:29

I also have the Clarks Hamble ones in tan, and they're very comfy. However, a couple of people (including my mother Hmm) have "joked" that I look butch wearing them. I am rather sturdy with a deep voice, though Grin - I'm sure you'll look lovely.

I also found these, a bit less clumpy than the Hambles, tho' I do love a clumpy shoe!

Hambles - I don't even bother shopping around.
But if I was splashing out, I'd look at Melvyn and Hamilton.

Looking for a pair too. Love them for winter.

rightknockered · 10/08/2018 16:21

I like Joseph Cheaney for brogues, can buy from Toast. They're lovely and very chunky. Also like DM brogues

Hamble Oaks make my feet look smaller, have 4 pairs in different colours. Can you wear them with trousers in winter and avoid chilly ankles though?

dudsville · 11/08/2018 08:57

Also hambles. So comfortable.

Ahhh, I'm looking forward to brogues, penny loafers, cords and plaids!

phoebemac · 11/08/2018 10:30

And opaque tights!

Check out Amazon for your Clark's shoes. You can often save a fair bit.

Red or Dead Rosie from Schuh. Lasted 3 years and counting.
