Any French MN'ers about?

In France at the moment and eyeing up loads of the sophisticated looking creams and lotions. The Petite L'Oliver looks fab and prices look reasonable.

Are there any toiletries I absolutely must buy? Any recommendations? I already fill my car with lovely hand wash (Olive oil, lavender) so what else can I covet?

Brands like Avene, Vichy and La Roche-Posay are still, even with the declining pound, cheaper in French parapharmacies than they are in the U.K.

Crwban · 18/08/2018 14:24

I like all those brands. Thanks! I'll take a look.

I'm loving the hand soaps at the moment and the body wash by La Mersailles. Smell is divine!

Le Petit Olivier is usually available in TK Maxx. Handwash is IIRC £2.99.
Petit Marseillais is good. Any soaps and things are nice, if you like them, treat yourself.

LeafcutterAnt · 18/08/2018 14:50

I've ordered some of those brands from Frenchclick.co.uk, in case anyone isn't going to france but would like to get them.

QueenOfTheAndals · 18/08/2018 15:38

I think there's also a site called Cocoon Centre that does brands like Avene and LRP at French prices. But unless you order a lot, the postage cost makes up for the difference in price.

I think I must be a French marketeers dream - their stuff looks so lovely!

Le Petite Oliver has a whole
Range of stuff - I am sorely tempted. Experience says however, that I should stick to the soaps and hand wash.

Are you Welsh, Crwban?
I'm a bit of a sucker for toiletries and make-up and have banned myself from buying any more until the hoard has been used.
(off to frenchclick...)

I've got the PETIT MARSEILLAIS lavender hand wash on the go in my kitchen at the moment which is nice. Their lip balm sticks with the yellow tube are really good too. Also a few DOP shower gels.

Mike, I am. The name derives from youngest DD's favourite animal.

. I'm the same re hoarding toiletries- I feel guilty at my hoard, Ban myself from buying more then discover a new brand.

Oh goody. I'm not alone.
Crwban is a great name.

MikeUniformMike · 20/08/2018 20:13

Great animal too.

Crwban · 23/08/2018 17:56

Thanks!
Should I ever win the lotto, one of the first things I'd do is take DD to a protected turtle area to watch hatchlings.

Are you Welsh, Mike?
