Leather cross body bag

I’m looking for a bag that’s big enough for my phone, keys and a few odds and ends, between an a5 and a4 notepad size. I’d like it in tan leather, with a long strap and up to around £200. I don’t fancy a satchel, just a plain or tooled leather classic stand-up-to-being-carted-about-a-bit and-and-age-well bag.

I’d rather not have logos all over the place - despite my work bag being a Mulberry, it is a very battered and ancient Bayswater - bought years ago from a friend who wanted a newer version. I like that quite simple style.

Any ideas would be welcome please!

Ally Capellino - if I had the money!

Fossil! I have one I use all the time.

I have the Emma and I love it but they have a few options each season. If you don't want a clear logo the key is removable.

Oo Ally Capellino bags are loooooovely, I didn’t know the brand at all but will now off to stalk Naughty Pidgin’s nest for pocket friendly options 😊

Thank you for the Fossil ideas too!

Have a look at John Lewis own brand - I got similar from there about 6 yrs ago for about £100 and it has done really well.

Bolla Bags - a UK company. Rate the quality highly.

You can get some lovely leather bags in TK Max for around £50 similar to your description. Radley also have some nice bags that are in your price range when they have their (frequent) sales on.

Maybe not your style but I love scaramanga.

Modaliu have some lovely cross body bags reduced at the moment. I can vouch for the leather quality I bought a Pippa bag in the sale and it's lovely

Either Village England or Mimi Berry are my go-tos for bags. Bother are lovely British brands and their leather quality is amazing - but at a much lower price point than Mulberry!

Toast have a few cross body bags this season, maybe worth a look, no logos either thankfully!

I have just purchased a black cross-body bag from Osprey. I don't use cross body bags as a rule but have a small one for weekends away city breaks etc. It was looking very battered and scruffy so treated myself as I am going to Barcelona for a few days and need something secure! (ie. cross body) I went to the Osprey outlet and paid £125 for one reduced from £200. It has two zipped compartments and an open middle section, lovely leather and comfortable for travelling. Also is classic in style so will last a very long time, I hope. I have not bought anything from Osprey before, I am a Mulberry girl, but was really impressed with the staff very knowledgeable and listened to what I wanted before showing me a selection of bags. It was the outlet store but they made sure that once I had chosen the bag , there was one in stock wrapped and packaged as new. Would definitely recommend.

Sorry should say it was the Buckley Cross body, Nappa bag.

I have a lovely one from white stuff although it might be a bit small for you but I find it fits everything in.
