Jeans with NO STRETCH.

Once upon a time they were the norm. Now you can’t find 100% cotton jeans for love nor money. I can’t be the only person to prefer them?

Jeans with stretch get a weird bag in them or cling unflatteringly to cellulite etc. Jeans with no stretch get a nice bit of space between fat bits and material. I miss them so much! Where can I get 100% cotton jeans now?

Hiut Jeans, in Wales and online. £££ though.

IggyAce · 08/08/2018 09:23

I got some from Next £30 straight leg.

Gap did some in the summer, not sure if they still do and also just got some for DH from Jeanstore, some Levis. Seems to be quite rare nowadays.

Have you tried jeans which are 98% cotton, 2% elastane? I love this mix. I would inagine 100% cotton would have that 80s shapeless vibe.

thedevilinablackdress · 08/08/2018 10:30

Levi's 501s and some other styles.

Also, Monki (part of H&M group) have loads.

Most jeans are this mix and I hate it. I don’t want ANY STRETCH. At least if they gave the option but I can’t find any I like that are 100% cotton. They aren’t shapeless at all.

I don’t really want 501s.

Seven for all Mankind/ citizens of Humanity used to do the most perfect styles in 100% cotton and now they’re all 98/2%. I hate them.

Thanks for the suggestions, PP.

Oh right! I find it hard to get 98/2 mix. Most jeans I come across have a much higher synthetic mix. I just did a quick search on Seven for all Mankind website and there is absolutely nothing at 98/2 or even near that.

Levi's do a jean which they call a skinny 501.

They are very nice and feel like old fashioned jeans but they have a more modern cut than the old 501s.

The 501CT is nice too but a boyfriend cut.

I was like you, sick of jeans being all weird and elastic.

You could try them and send back if no good as they do free returns.

They are flattering, have a good cut and are like your old jeans that you struggle to get on the first day out the wash and then just get better as the week goes on. No bagging. 100% cotton. Love 'em.

thedevilinablackdress · 08/08/2018 13:41

Deffo 100% (organic) cotton at Monki.
I have one of their denim jackets and it's ace.

I don't like any stretch either. I have some Hush jeans that are only cotton and also some from Gap. I really dislike the stretchy jegging look personally so am following this with interest.

Maybe it’s 98/5? I gave up looking at them a while ago when they stopped doing 100% cotton

Er excuse my maths above, I meant 95/5, of course!

I came to suggest vintage 80s 501s as I have 2 pairs and bloody love themBlush! Guess it takes all sorts.

Oblomov18 · 08/08/2018 15:54

I don't like any stretch either.

Barbayagar · 08/08/2018 16:01

I have got a couple of pairs of 100% cotton faded denim jeans and love them! They are both cut offs and suit being rolled up. One pair from Primark, around £10, the other from Anthropologie, £28 in the sale.

SorrelForbes · 08/08/2018 16:08

Sorry for the weird link!

LadyoftheChateau · 08/08/2018 21:12

Gap. I love how after a few years they rip naturally. Amazing jeans.
