34 to dye or not to dye ?

Hi everyone my name is Crystal I am 34 years old! I have been dying my hair for well over a decade now . I am so over dying my hair that for the last 7 month's I quit dying and I'm now letting the grey shine through .my front it almost pretty much white/blonde and the rest has to be atleast 40 percent grey . I am interested in how many other women out there have the same problem . and what do you do to fix the grey or do just you let the grey shine though let's hear your stories 😁

I dye! I'm dark though. Can't not unless I want to look 60.

Why care? Just do it

I'm 41 & naturally fair but with a bit of white frizz scattered through the front of my hair.

I have a young face & am looking for a boyfriend my age or younger so I disguise the white with blonde highlights- I have to get them done 6 weekly eg just a t section or half head with a full head yearly.

It's not cheap but I like the results & it suits me.

I can understand why people stop dying their hair but that look is not for me.

I looked after a 70 something lady who has naturally straight dark grey hair with a lilac rinse trough it - she looks very trendy & her sons hate it which she is pleased about!!

I have naturally fair skin as well green eyes and freckles I usually due my hair auburn red . can you post pics on here ? I want to dye my hair very light when the grey comes through and put highlights so the grey isn't that noticeable

I deliberately dye my hair grey! Darker ash at the roots then ice white ends. I wish I was naturally white/ light grey.

I am 50, my hair is a sort of mid brown, streaked with grey, a bit salt and pepper at the sides. I've never dyed it other than a disaster aged 15 which left me having to have it cut very short.

I would prefer it not to be grey, but not enough to be arsed to dye it seemingly :)

I'm 33 and stopped just over 18 months ago cut into a pixie so the old dye has all been cut away. I have about 75% grey and I love it. Its quite glittery with the salt and pepper effect. I add Directions Violet dye to my conditioner to use as a toner rather than having to use an off the shelf purple rinse as I don't really get on with the Provoke/DaddyOs/JohnFrieda stuff. It is increadibly freeing not having having to chase the root coverup all the time and the damage of the developer in perm dyes is almost minimal with no more breakages and split ends. Weirdly I've had several people mention how much younger I look since I've gone grey.

This is my hair just after I had it highlighted.

Oh, sorry the paperclip sign is only on the app or if you're posting on the mobile site.
On a PC, there are buttons below the message box which say 'choose images (up to 30 per day)' then a 'choose file' button.

Are you a new user? It might be that new users can't post pics, not sure (another forum I use you can't post pics til after a certain number of posts)

Crystal2018 · 08/08/2018 13:58

Thank you VanGoghsDog I figured it out with your help 😁

Crystal2018 · 08/08/2018 14:04

It won't let me post pics yet so I may have to wait till I post so many messages like you said VanGoghsDog.
