Yesterday I was passing through a big station and thought I'd ask for a sample of the Mac Pro longwear foundation.
I explained to the sales assistant that I was olive skinned, she agreed. I explained I just tried Nars Sheer glow is Barcelona and it was too pale on me with the wrong undertones. She said "No, that can't be right. I'm mixed race and darker than you. It works for me
"
I just put my make up on and tried the foundation. I look hilarious
The photos don't do it justice, but basically, in person the foundation is like face paint!
It's not even a skin colour looking shade... I look like a clown.
I then added my usual concealer and then put on my blusher, made for olive/warm undertones. It looks comical.
What on earth has gone on?!
The shade she gave me is apparently NC35. NC30 (the shade below), is popular on YouTube and seems to be worn by white woman/people with no tan at all so if anything, I thought NC35 would be too pale too. I'm Hispanic background with quite a golden tan.
I look ridiculous.
Has anyone else had bad experiences with Mac foundation shades?
