Tinted moisturiser recommendations please

I'm looking for something lightweight to even out my skin tone rather than a foundation. My cheeks are a bit red, shadows under my eyes and a few fine lines are appearing although my skin is in very good condition overall.

Last week I was browsing in stores and was tried with By Terry, Hourglass, Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown. I've discounted the Bobbi Brown one as its not cruelty free although it did last well.

Any recommendations please based on your use?

Nars.
I have previously used Laura Mercier but this gives better coverage imo
And you only need a small amount

poppym12 · 05/08/2018 14:02

Thanks hrt but unfortunately Nars isn't cruelty free.

Idk if cruelty free but maybelline B.B. cream is amazing, really soft formula

poppym12 · 05/08/2018 15:07

No, maybelline isn't cruelty free either rach but thanks for suggestion.

IT Cosmetics? Everyone’s raving about their CC Cream.

sunshineseaside · 05/08/2018 20:48

I have been using the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream for about a month (it was on offer in poundland!). It comes out quite like a moisturising cream but when you blend it in it changes pigment and ends up with a lovely glow. It's got SPF in it too. I have been using it as a base as have needed a bit of extra coverage recently but I would also be happy using it on its own (if my skin behaved itself!) Have tried to attach some pics x

Boots No7 City Lights - I think it's called. I get the Fair.

pastabest · 05/08/2018 21:02

Bare Minerals complexion rescue.

It's absolutely transformed my skin but it does need to be applied with a brush for good coverage.

Sparkletastic · 05/08/2018 21:03

Glossier Skin Tint

Hersetta427 · 05/08/2018 21:03

I am using Ester Lauder doublewear B.B. cushion. I got it on offer but I do like it .

annandale · 05/08/2018 21:03

Body shop all in one BB cream. Comes in a range of shades, I'm 02 though fair so I would guess the range is better for fair skins. It is supposed to alter to your skin tone. I get endless compliments while wearing it.

AgentProvocateur · 05/08/2018 21:04

I use the Origins one that looks similar to the Garnier one pictured above (although a lot dearer!) I’m very pleased with it.

DragonNoodleCake · 05/08/2018 21:10

Boots no. 7 is cruelty free and rather than a tinted moisturiser I use their radiance foundation- which is lovely, very light weight and slightly dewy. Apply with a damp sponge and it's super light, but buildable for slightly more cover.

SummerbodyIwish · 05/08/2018 21:12

Clinique have a new one. It's called work out foundation ( or something similar) but is more like a tinted moisturiser with spf 15.

poppym12 · 05/08/2018 21:31

Thank you for the recommendations. I'm not 100% sure that any mentioned are cruelty free but I'll look into it.

I’ve recently discovered lumene through a review of tinted moisturisers in the Independent- it is vegan and looks great.

Sparkletastic · 05/08/2018 21:47

Glossier is 100% cruelty free

poppym12 · 05/08/2018 22:05

Glossier isn't a brand I'm familiar with. Know anywhere that stocks it so I can try it out?

OP posts:
poppym12 · 05/08/2018 22:21

I can't find a stockist for lumene either.

Another vote for boots no. 7 - although I usr the BB cream. Bit like a primer & tint in one . Boots definitely don't test products or ingredients on animals, but not sure if totally cruelty free (if that's different from testing on animals)

citygirl1961 · 06/08/2018 20:38

Dragonnoodlecake, is the No7 instant radiance foundation OK for this hot weather? Which shade do you use?

friendlyflicka · 06/08/2018 20:43

I like Laura Mercier, the radiance one, but no idea about cruelty etc

Brendatheblender · 06/08/2018 20:46

Bare minerals complexion rescue.

It makes my shoddy skin look beautil and it’s cruelty free

DragonNoodleCake · 06/08/2018 22:32

@citygirl1961 yes, I've been finding it ok. I use calico- but I'm whiter than white. I use a wee bit of powder lightly brushed over top in this weather
