HELP...tan accelerators/enhancers what's the difference and do i need one

please help
I am not good at tanning, am a redhead ( now helped along by haridresser) with peaches and cream colouring and acne roseacea

i also have super sensitive skin and am allergic to multiple creams and potions and products including sunscreens

I dont really tan, just end up dirty streaky looking

I use roche posay xantelious on my face as doesnt trigger the roseacea and usually ambre solaire dry mist spray stuff on rest of me.

i am just about to do big shop for the 2 week holiday ( there are 6 of us, all adults, and my dd2 and i have the sensitive skin, and use special sunscreens on our faces and the rest just have usual 50+ stuff) .

i noticed products saying they are tan enhancers which promise a more even deeper golden tan ...ooooh....holy grail to me...

so do they work, are they worth it ? i looked at piz buin and then googled it and found there are also tan accelerators which you mix with moisturiser or take as a tablet and they seem very pricey ...so anyone used these ? did they work ? will they transform me into a golden glowing venus ? or should i just accept that at 53 it aint happening anymore

I use one about a week or so before a holiday , I have one on the go at the moment .(Elemis )

I can't say that it makes a huge difference . My skin is Celtic , dark hair , dark eyes. I look like I should tan, but I go freckly.

Even if it doesn't help with the tan, at least it moisturises.

I need to use my Korean towel tonight and the Tan Acc after .
