Foundation advice, thinking about mineral make up

I have skin that's prone to breaking out and teenage make up habits!

With the heat I've not been wearing any make up at all. I had it on Thursday and Friday and my cheeks are all red and blemished again, so I've binned it all as it's clearly no good.

A colleague recommended Bella Pierre. Does it take a long time to put on properly?

have you thought about a tinted moisturiser? I like the garnier bb cream in the summer, nice and light.

I’ve used Bare Minerals for at least 5 years, I’d never go back to a liquid foundation. 2 mins to apply primer and 5 mins to apply the mineral powder. It stays put all day and has a lovely dewey appearance which is great for my late 40s skin! You can build it up slowly to apply more for a fuller coverage.

Not really relevant but I’ve also converted my mum to mineral foundation, it’s much more forgiving than liquid during application which is perfect for my mum who is partially sighted. Often when she applied liquid foundation the result was a bit eek 😬 😂 but not so with mineral!

Similar to Yukongold I’m a fan of bare mineral foundation. I don’t use a primer just the serum liquid foundation, a few stops & the swirly brush and it’s perfect. Doesn’t settle in any lines on me either & im similar age. Couldn’t go back to anything heavier.

Lily Lolo mineral foundation is brilliant- good shade range too. I like the translucent silk finishing powder they do as well. I find mineral powder always looks nicer when sprayed with a face mist straight after applying- it diffuses lines and stops creasing (I use LRP Serozinc but any light mist spray or water spray would work)
