Colourful dye on grey bits.

I have very dark brown hair in a neat and tidy cut. I have a noticeable amount of white hairs, mostly coming from temple, so covered, unless I pin my hair up.

I’m toying with the idea of putting some colour on the greys- bright pink sounds fun. Just for the summer holidays while I am off work.

Does anyone have any experience of this- could you recommend a dye. Google searches have come up with manic panic and special effect brands.

I am not after anything too long lasting. Just something that will show up in grey/ white hair.

I would start with a wash in/wash out one first to see how it takes... poundshop have a coloured conditioner that you leave on for 20min first time then wash out.. as you keep using it the colour builds but it is v easy to wash out over a few days of you don’t like it... there is a range of colours to try and as it’s a conditioner there’s no damage to hair..

I put some Manic Panic on mine and it has coloured up the greys pretty well. Shampoo is likely to strip it right out (greys tend to be very resistant) so if I were you I'd do a test swatch behind the ear or similar to see how it looks and how quickly and completely it fades. The more intense the colour, the longer you leave it on and the less you shampoo the more bright and long-lasting the colour will be.

Why not try a hair chalk if you want to colour streaks of grey
