Avarca sandals - size question (narrow foot)

I'd really like a pair of Avarcas (from the outlet shop here: www.avarcashop.com/en/ ) but unsure of the size. I'm a narrowish 41 or 42 in a closed shoe, a 41 or sometimes 40 in a sandal. Any advice?

I emailed for advice and they've given me the measurement between the stitching - ? So a 41 is 26cm between the stitching. My foot measures about 25.5 from end to end. I'm not really any less confused. Hmm The postage is quite expensive so I'd like to get it right.

I'm trying to talk myself out of them altogether but the pony ones are very nice. Smile

I can't help with these ones but I bought some from SoLivi and she was really helpful with sizing guidance. Recommended them so several friends who also had a good experience. They're also less expensive/postage is cheaper.

Thanks for the tip, cheaper postage would be really helpful. They're closed until mid-Aug sadly, so the search continues.

Oh that's a shame, what about PalmairaSandals? Can you tell I follow a lot of shoe companies on Instagram?

Ollivander84 · 03/08/2018 21:32

I got from palmaira and I sized down (am usually a standard 7.5). They felt right at first but once stretched slightly they were perfect

SuperDuperJezebel lol, it's good to stay informed. Grin

Ollivander84 helpful, thank you. Maybe I should just go for the 41s. It's so confusing though, after never taking a 40 in my life suddenly sandals in a 40 are fitting me, so because of the issue of the back strap falling off (which lots of people say is a problem) I was wondering if a 40 might be better. There's no definite solution aside from trying on, I'm just overthinking it.

To be honest I have found the same recently. I've always been a 41, sometimes a 42. Now I'm needing a 41 and sometimes a 40! The palmairas are a 40, I just checked

Ollivander84 yes, it's the strangest thing, used to be a 42 was an 8 and usually a bit loose on my foot. Now a 40 might be a 6 or 7, a 41 might be a 7 or 8 etc. I usually buy half a dozen pairs of shoes in different styles and sizes, try them on at home and return what didn't fit.

Urgh, sorry to hear you sized down to a 40 - I've just bought 41s. I was tired of waffling so I pulled the trigger. Fingers crossed the different brand means they fit differently. They're reduced in the sale but the shipping is a killer.
