Hair cut - how do I describe this?

Ok, I'm growing out a pixie , my hair is now at that awful mulletty stage Hmm

If I wash it at night , then use my Babylis Big brush when its dry, I can tame it a bit, but my hair is wavy so after a few hours I get the sticky out horns (not quit FlockofSeagulls but enough to annoy me)

I was trying to grow it , but now I think - do I want to?

So, if I wanted the top layers kept long and the back and sides short , but with longer top layers so I can apply product or if I CBA straighten.

I know it sounds a bit 1980s but thats not a bad thing Grin

I looked on Pinterest but a lot of the styles are very styled or suit straight hair.
Can't think of anyone famous that has the hair I want .

I don't want to go back to really short , but something more easycare (and the back of my neck is getting bloody sweaty now)

TIA

Do you trust your hairdresser? If so, explain it to them very slowly and clearly, pointing at the specific parts of your hair and being really explicit, and ask them to cut slowly / show you before they cut.

If you don't have a good and trustworthy hairdresser on standby, look for people you know (or in the street) with good short hair and ask where they get it cut. Then book in for a consultation and see if you like what the stylist suggests.

do any of these look like what you had in mind?

Do you mean the Meet Me at McDonald's?

Google Emma Willis. She has great hair

Ha ! at the MM@McD hair ( no!) mine is wavy rather than tousled curls

Emma Willis' hair is much straighter and better behaved than mine so that wouldn't work unfortunately (yes she does have great hair )

I will do a massive search on wavy/layered/short.

Actually anything will be an improvement at the moment , I'm in Helmet Hair Mode at the moment Sad

A good hairdresser will give you a growing out style.

What about a wavy Clare Underwood? I know she God, I think she is real has her hair sleek a lot but there are lots of images with it looking more tousled. If your hair is dead wavy then it would look super Parisian.

My friend got a bit confused with the MM@McD do and called it the C. U. Next Tuesday instead. I did laugh a lot.
