If you were a size 18 Apple and only had tomorrow to buy a wedding guest outfit for Saturday...but only had the following stores,
M&S
Debenhams
Dorothy Perkins
New look
Next
What would you buy?
I'm desperate so any help would be appreciated

I'd head to Debenhams and look at phase 8 - quite often v flattering for tummies.

You run the risk of others having a similar outfit so I'd go for something plain and then rock the accessories

PhyllisWig · 02/08/2018 22:26

Or a jumpsuit maybe? Again phase eight have a fair few in a variety of colours. Maybe think about what shoes/bag/jewellery you already have and look for a plain colour which will go.

I'm all about jazzing up the plain me!

Kwackerly · 02/08/2018 22:30

I'd go to Dorothy Perkins, they do some lovely dresses - I am an apple and buy lots from there. How are your legs op? Do you want them out or covered? A maxi dress can look very glamorous if you are tall enough to carry it off?

Kwackerly · 02/08/2018 22:36

Chiffon skater dress for example here m.dorothyperkins.com/en/dpuk/product/billie-blossom-petite-navy-crop-bloom-crepe-skater-dress-7875193

zolaaa · 02/08/2018 22:38

Ooh I like the dot perks one too!

Kwackerly · 02/08/2018 22:41

I love the green Debenhams dress too zolaaa! Although would struggle with it in the heat, if the weddings in the south east on Saturday choose a thin dress and take a fan!

sunshineseaside · 02/08/2018 22:42

I would go with an open mind about what you are looking for and don't panic. If you go to Debenhams first they usually have really helpful store staff (personal shoppers?) Plus all the different shops are under one roof! Then if no joy, move on! You got this xx

snowdropparty1 · 02/08/2018 22:43

I was on a similar position a few weeks ago. I got a dress from ‘move by minimum’ in Debenhams. Will try and find a link. I also bought a new holding in corset for my waist which got me into a 16. Goid luck. You will find something. I usually fall back in tunic styles. I have had some nice dress from Savannah MIller in Debenhams but not recently.

snowdropparty1 · 02/08/2018 22:44

As in I haven’t looked recently

I liked a few things in the range. I never actually go for wrap dresses as I look pregnant but with the corset and the cut of the dress this one was flattering. It does go to a 16 but I found it generous. Good luck you will find something!

Next has a couple of nice ones. If you order in the next hour, you can get them delivered tomorrow.

mycatplotsdeath · 02/08/2018 22:59

Thanks everyone, you have given me hope!
I'm going open minded and will try lots on.

They can all be dressed up with glam heels and bag, I think.
