What to wear to a party on Saturday?

I’m a good stone over my usual weight. Legs ok, the rest appalling.

Any idea?

I think you have fab figure!!!

Candyflip · 30/07/2018 22:51

I think something with a wide belt to give the illusion of hourglass. But that length is good on you.

tomorrowsword · 30/07/2018 22:58

Thank you. I have a real boob problem when it comes to dresses and so tend to avoid them. I am very appley and being overweight only makes that look worse. My legs are ok though.

Is the white top part of dress? Can you lose it? Love the flirty skirt in the dress!!! If you took off the white top and wire some jewellery instead would the top be too low cut? You’ve a beautiful figure!!! Show it off!!

tomorrowsword · 30/07/2018 23:03

Naw the white top isn't part of the dress. I tried on the top dress and my boobs escaped out of it so I had to go and get the vest to go under it.

I very much DO need something underneath a dress like this. I promise you.

tomorrowsword · 30/07/2018 23:03

Sorry, I mean I tried on the dress without the top...

OP posts:
Slanetylor · 30/07/2018 23:05

Fair enough. You definately couldn’t stitch it or safety pin it shut? I love the vest for day time but would prefer it without for a party. It’s still very cute though! You look great.

tomorrowsword · 30/07/2018 23:09

The boob thing is a (very unwelcome) problem.

I went out in a dress that 'flatters' them the other night and sat opposite a man who glanced at them it must have been over 100 times in the evening. A good mate, sat next to his girlfriend. Someone I know from a sporting activity for years now who doesnt look twice at me in my sports bra.

I can't handle the letting them hang out thing. They look matronly when covered up, though.

Do you wear a minimiser bra OP? They definitely calm my "girls" down Smile

tomorrowsword · 30/07/2018 23:15

No, sorry, dontcallmecharlotte. I have breasts, not girls.

OP posts:
Slanetylor · 31/07/2018 00:30

Is that black cami the outfit that brought the unwanted attention because something like that would look great with the first dress to my mind! Sexy but not too much? Not everyone is as rude as your sporting “ friend”.

BigFatBloomers · 31/07/2018 02:19

How about something like a chiffon shirt dress so you have some choice about how much to reveal or conceal?

Candyflip · 31/07/2018 04:44

Don’t wear a minimiser bra. Your boobs are a nice shape.

plusonefail · 31/07/2018 06:50

I love the dress on you but as others have said it would look less daytime without the vest. Would it be possible to put a couple of stitches in it to stop breasts from escaping? I too have massive rogue breasts so feel your pain. The other pic looks lovely too.

And your figure is really nice - you look way better than you seem to think you do.

mimibunz · 31/07/2018 06:54

I think you look great, OP, but I know it’s frustrating to have large breasts. You either feel like an exhibitionist or a matron!

LoniceraJaponica · 31/07/2018 06:59

Being an underwhelming 32B I envy you your "boob problem"
If I had your shape I would go for the outfit in the second picture. I'm all for making the most of your assets. They are assets not a problem.

You look great.

herecomesthsun · 31/07/2018 08:24

Yes to fab legs. Would not a Kaftan or kimono type top look good, that elegantly showed some cleavage and then wafted a bit? and then a bottom half that complimented your legs?

tomorrowsword · 31/07/2018 10:19

Thanks all I'll try and get round the shops today, any suggestions where to go for a decent dress?

Sorry for my short reply yesterday dontcallmecharlotte, I've read it back and it looks really snotty - apologies. Was feeling dispirited about being overblessed in the breast department but I think I took it out on you. I'm sorry Flowers

furandchandeliers · 31/07/2018 11:22

Op I think the dress is quite frumpy Blush I'm not saying that to be mean, I think it's the spots with the navy, it's just reminding me of something my mil would wear.

The shape is good on you though! I agree the best underneath looks matronly but I have the same problem when it comes to boobs, I'm a 36gg (and growing as I'm pregnant!) so some things are just too low, I just tend not to wear them, as I'd rather avoid the vest thing but if it was a party at nighttime It would t bother me at allSmile

spanishwife · 31/07/2018 11:30

Have you considered just trying a new bra? I had been wearing the same bra for years, until I went and tried on a few different styles, suddenly, all my clothes looked different, my boobs sat on my chest instead of falling out everywhere. I know your reaction might be 'yes I've tried all the bras, this is just how my huge boobs look', but I really would recommend it.

GazeboLantern · 31/07/2018 12:01

Definitely go to a good bra fitting. If you are well-blessed, I highly recommend Bravissimo. Fenwicks and John Lewis are also good, but may not have the more uncommon sizes.

Since my breasts have developed a will of their own, and go where they will, when they will (cos of ageing, weight fluctuation, babies, yadda yadda) I now have a range of bras for different outfits/styles of outfits. Including non-underwired one which looks an utter disaster when I try it on undressed, or under a T-shirt, but makes my wrap-style dresses look fabulous. And it protects my modesty without making me look frumpy!

Judging by the photo, you and I have almost identical figures OP (apple, big boobs, good legs). Would you consider a jumpsuit? I recently bought this from Esprit and it’s fantastic. The neckline is the perfect depth, really flattering on big boobs, and it has a little popper that holds it closed (unlike so many mock-wrap tops that gape annoyingly). It’s very soft and comfortable and the tie at the waist is very flattering on my apple midriff as well. So easy to dress up with some heels and sparkly earrings, or whatever you like.

JuneFromBethesda · 31/07/2018 12:26

Oh and another recent purchase was this Bravissimo bra which is beautiful and has a minimising effect.

Although you look good in the dresses you’ve posted too!

Ladygaggia · 31/07/2018 12:30

You look completely different in latest dress. I prefer this look I think.
Very nice!
