Please help me find this gorgeous black dress

This is a forlorn hope...but I saw a sales assistant in John Lewis wearing the most BEAUTIFUL black dress, but she had been a bit huffy with me so I didn’t like to ask her and assumed I would be able to find it in the shop. I couldn’t, and I can’t stop thinking about it...if anyone can find it I will LOVE YOU FOREVER

It was black, quite a floaty light fabric (maybe a cotton/silk mix) and knee length with a full skirt and quite full elbow-length sleeves. The hem and the sleeves had a kind of cut out lace detail around them and it had a V neck (could have been a wrap dress). It was beautiful, and days of internet searching have got me nowhere. It really reminded me of a black ted baker dress I had about 15 years ago but much prettier.

I know it’s a long shot...but it’s my last shot....thanks for reading!!

It was John Lewis in Birmingham at the station - I have had awkward train connections and have been using them to browse! That’s a good idea to ask the personal shoppers....next time I’m there I’ll try!

It’s quite like this except the neck was a deeper V, the edges were smooth not jagged, it was longer, the sleeves were longer and fuller, and I think it had a kind of sash

You loved it, another shopper complimented her on it, if you can describe the woman, other staff members in the department will know who you mean and might even know the dress as she obviously looked great.

Ask them tomorrow and report back 😃

OP call the Customer services number. Or tweet them. Describe the lady, department you were in, date & time.

I’ve just emailed them to ask....if nothing in 24 hours then I’ll get a twitter account and tweet them! Or Facebook. They will think I’m MAD!

I thought it would have to be from JL too, that’s why I assumed I would just see it somewhere.
