Please recommend me a foundation for mature skin

I'm 60 and have fairly good skin with a few wrinkles.
I normally wear a clarins tinted moisturiser, but I wonder if there anything better to give me a more natural but polished finish. I can't use anything powdery or thick as it makes my wrinkles more obvious.

Not saying that it's the Holy Grail, but the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue comes in a decent range of colours for European skins and includes a sensible SPF50 ingredient. It's pretty widely available in department stores. But there are hundreds out there...

PS: I'm a little older than you. I find it's better over a primer.

Oh thanks, I'm going to go and get some samples, I'll definitely try this and a primer.

Since I turned 40 there have been very few foundations that I can use. The products that are good for me are No 7 bb cream or superlight foundation, which is brilliant, or else I use Georgio Armani luminous silk, or designer lift. Everything else goes into my pores and looks awful.

I would go and ask for a few samples from different places and see which is best for you before you buy

I like Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser. Sometimes I use Dior Star

I got Bourgeois Healthy Mix foundation for my Mum (she's older than you) and it goes on a treat over primer, doesn't sink into wrinkles/pores at all.

SpeckledyHen · 29/07/2018 22:16

Another vote for Bourjois Healthy Mix

Thanks for the additional recommendations. I'm going shopping on Wednesday and have noted down your recommendations and will hopefully get samples.

I use Boots no 7, they have various types, but i have tried others and always gone back to them

If you are in London, and near Harrods, try Sensai Instant Glow; it's a bronzing gel that is totally sheer and makes everyone (even my MiL, aged 89) look healthier. Harrods is the only RL UK stockist but you can get it from Cult Beauty online, but not samples. Just another idea before you hit the pavement.

I really rate the Lift and Luminate N7 serum foundation. It has a perfect shade for me, unlike the Bourjois which is far too dark. Another high street one I repurchase is Maybelline dream satin liquid.

I've tried all sorts, from Chanel-Dior-Clarins -Armani-Tilbury and those 2 work best for me (53 with dry skin)
