Shoes/boots for flared cropped jeans

I bought some lovely cropped )slightly lower than mid calf) flared jeans from Boden. Just wondering what people wear on their feet in the Autumn & winter with them? Not a fan of sock-less or bare ankles in the winter!

You could wear trainers and let your socks show, or block heeled ankle boots, that's generally what I would do.

I’ve been pondering this too.
Wrap are styling theirs with socks and burgundy lace ups.
Poetry with long boots and trainers.
Everyone else seems to be mostly picturing ankle boots.
I don’t think I’m brave enough for the socks myself, but my dds probably will.
