I exfoliated and moisturised yesterday, applied this afternoon . it's been on around 5hrs, had a shower and it's totally washed off ! lol it's the dark one aswell, hardly even a hint of tan! Argh! Tell me what I'm doing wrong????

Are you sure you've picked up self-tan rather than instant tan?

skittletittle · 28/07/2018 21:11

And also I would leave it on over night , 5 hours isn't really long enough in my opinion xx

Yes definitely self tan! I think your right overnight is probably better! Better luck next time I guess lol

I had the same issue, although with the in shower stuff. I applied it for an entire week. What a faff, I was still whiter than white. I got the cheap stuff and it worked instantly.

Good luck! I find st moritz the best for me even out of all the expensive brands. Love the shade of brown I'm left with and much less patchy

I have used this recently and its come out a lovely even colour, and looks more natural when its dried, than when you apply it, as it looks very dark at first

Are you applying moisturiser everywhere? Try only applying it to dry parts like knees and elbows. The fake tan should ‘sink in’ better as moisturiser acts like a barrier.

Well I've woke up looking rather tanned! It must of continued to develop overnight! I stink of biscuits!

Brilliant news GrinGrin

Yup. Overnight (in your grubbiest PJs and sheets because it will stain). Then it usually comes up lovely for me.

And yes, the give-away digestive biscuit smell!
