Hi all,

My lovely dh wants to buy me a handbag for a significant birthday. In an alternative universe I'd love an Anya Hindmarch satchel type thing. However budget is around £400. I want something slightly smarter than my usual tan slouchy bag but not too stiff. Any suggestions very welcome.

If you're not fussed about exact style / colour, keep any eye out at outlets ..... I got my Anya Hindmarch Elrod bag at the Kildare Village outlet in Ireland. I bl@@dy love it but as it's shiny gold I'd never have been able to justify full price.

Brand alley and the like have good bags on offer generally, TJ Max also good. I have Michael kors and Lulu Guinness from there.
Coach have beautiful work bags but can be pricey.
LK Bennett as well.

dancergirl its a neat, compact bag. Not large at all. I fit keys, my large purse, minimal cosmetics and phone. Big enough for essentials but not a large I pad for example. It's gorgeous and one of my favourite bags.
