Dark hair, caramel highlights - shampoo recommendations?

Just that really. I’ve had fine caramel coloured lights put through my darkish brown bob. Can anyone recommend a shampoo which will stop them from going orange too quickly? Thanks

You need a silver shampoo to take away the yellow. There’s loads around, I like Pro-Voke touch of silver. Leave the shampoo on for 5 minutes, then condition.

Thank you. I knew that there were shampoos around but wasn’t sure what I needed. I’ve always been dark but have gone a bit lighter this time to help reduce the effect of what the hairdresser called ‘nature’s highlights’!

Can you show us your hair? I've got short dark brown hair but I've had bleached balyage for years. Just about finished growing it out and I wanted the caramel look next! I'd love to see it on a real person rather than the polished Pinterest hair models I've been eyeing up.

I’ve just had a shower so it’s wet. I’ll take a photo in a bit

I would love to see photos of anyone with dark hair who has managed to break up the 'block colour'. I've seen two hairdressers who don't want to do anything except colour root regrowth. Inspiration needed! Similarly not trying to hijack just interested.

It’s not as orange as it appears here. I think it’s the flash. Fingers crossed the photo works...
