Best summer sandals for someone with a bad back?

Any suggestions apart from Birkenstocks? I've noticed my back is particularly sore and achey after a day on my feet in my flip flops. It's too hot for trainers (and they don't go with skirts) and TOMs, which are obviously much more supportive.

I used to live in Birkies. I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and fork out £60 aren't I?!

I also need something more delicate and pretty for a wedding I'm going to soon, but am worried I'll be crippled in something pretty and flimsy.

Help please!

Fitflops? X

I don't like the look of them Sad If I was going to spend that sort of cash I'd just get Birkies I think.

Hello, same problem here and bit the bullet and bought Arizona's from Birkenstock. Such a difference for my back. If you know what size and width etc you want, I ordered from their website and got £10 off which was a good help. X

I used to live in the Birkenstock Gizeh sandals and know they're better for my back.

Just stumbled on these beauties...£115 tho!

I just forked out for a new pair of mocha leather Gizeh's. I always think of trying something else, then regret it and go back Grin

Rogue I have Gizeh type from TK Maxx, Autenti, every bit as comfy and lovely as the real thing

GoingRogue · 28/07/2018 19:38

@FixItUpChappie ooh link please? Any deals on that you know of?

@fredabear thanks for the tip. My nearest TKMaxx is 30 mins away but will try and get up there to have a look Smile

Ecco here too - gladiator style ones

Clarks can be good

Crocs have some strappy styles and some wedges which are very comfortable

Might be worth investing in different pairs for different wears.

Def worth investing in your feet if it's also affecting your back - spoken from bitter experience!
