I use Etsy because you find unusual things and you're supporting artisans who run smaller businesses rather than chain stores.

Check out a website called Tada and Toy, they do lovely stuff and it’s not too expensive whilst still being a treat.

Or Links of London, but they’ll be more pricey.

Kate Spade do nice earrings in the £40-70 bracket. Tasteful with a little twist.

Oh add Pandora to that list. People are sniffy about the charm bracelets but I find the earrings very wearable, pretty and moderately priced.

These are my go to for classy, simple and affordable: wanderlustlife.co.uk/collections/earrings

personally prefer silver to gold, but if treating myself will buy a piece of Sheila Fleet jewellery. It is just gorgeous

ocelot41 · 29/07/2018 07:15

Some fantastic suggestions here - thanks so much for your help. Some funky ear jackets on Wanderlust. But my favourites so far are these from Sheila Fleet sheilafleet.com/collections/lunar-pearl/se00249

Actually, there's loads on there I like and like the idea of supporting Scottish designers rather than major businesses (am in Scotland). But vair expensive - does she ever have sales, Dementedma?
