Has anyone got this dress? What shoes?

I had this in the sale, it comes down to mid shin.
I have no idea what shoes to wear with in winter.
I'm late 20s,size 8-10 and 5'5.

Alternatively, I could have it taken up as its a bit of a difficult length. Would love opinions. Dh just says it's fine, but I'm not convinced!

I don't have that dress but if I did I would either wear it with converse style shoes or with flat pumps. Alternatively if you wanted to take it up it should be pretty easy to do because it doesn't look like it has a curved hem. So you could just cut it slightly longer than the length you wanted, and hem it.
Good luck! Star

I would agree. Something like a converse or hot chocolate funky type shoe.

Those shoes are amazing! How have I not heard of them before!!

I might take it up to knee length. Its from toast and their models are very tall. Thank you both :)

I love hot chocolate shoes.. have many odd pairs!!

Nanasueathome · 27/07/2018 10:54

Toast is my favourite shop
I am not allowed to look in there any more....for a long, long time
Have spent a fortune in their sale..but did manage to get everything for half price

Blondielongie · 27/07/2018 16:28

nana me too..... But the sales are so good! I never buy clothes so twice a year in toast is ok. They last really well!

I'm trying to justify it for myself Halo

I was considering buying that. At your hieght you will probably need it taken up. I would pair it with tan block heeled brogues either sickles or with loose crew socks and either a Jersey type top like in the photo or a top with long peasant sleeves and the just a plain crew neck jumper over top if desired.

Blondielongie · 27/07/2018 19:58

Ah that would be nice. Didn't think of brogues. I think I will have it taken up. Its such a lovely dress. :)

I’d wear with chunky flat sandals or dm shoes

BikeRunSki · 27/07/2018 20:00

Chunky brogues or Blundstone boots.
Everything from Toast looks ok with Blundstones (the most comfortable boots ever).

BikeRunSki · 27/07/2018 20:01

I love Toast dresses, but the waists are always too high for me.

Skimbleskanks · 27/07/2018 20:37

Ah I wanted that dress! And Facebook knows it, so now all I see is ads for it. Can you please show what it looks like on?

goose1964 · 27/07/2018 20:52

for winter id wear it with biker boots, but then again i wear everything in winter with biker boots

Blondielongie · 27/07/2018 21:45

If I have it taken up I could wear it with biker boots.
I have dm shoes, tried them as they look like the cheaney ones the models wear but I looked a bit Trunchball in the whole outfit. I think it's the length.

I'll post a pic tomorrow with the length as it is. Gonna drop it to a seamstress on Monday to see what can be done. I better not risk taking it up myself Blush

Love those boots. The blundstone ones. I was looking at chelsea boots on M&S as I have a voucher, but they are not quite the same!!

How are you still seeing ads, skimball? The sale has ended. Which is sad but also much healthier as I was obsessed 😂
