Great question, mine is grey as grubby. Worried machine will ruin it tho...

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/07/2018 16:45

I have a pale blue one that was disgustingly filthy. I put it in the washing machine on a short 40 degree wash using Ariel powder and it has come up like new. Leather not affected, or only that the inside of the flapwith the popper feels slightly rougher. I let it air dry. V pleased with how it came out.

ooh may be tempted by the machine.

Ahh washing machine is a great idea!!! I have a big tide mark on mine from something spilling inside

willowpillow · 26/07/2018 17:05

Washed mine too on a short 40 degree wash, came up nicely but I agree with the inside of flap being a little rough. I think you could possibly just put a bit of polish or beeswax on that part to soften it up again.

Mine has also been through the washing machine without bad things happening.

Plural · 26/07/2018 17:28

Ive put a blue and a pink one in the wash and they've been fine.
Thinking about it my grey one was fine too it had a weird water mark on it.
Black one has never had to be washed. Lesson learnt. Go for dark colours....

I have a pale green one and I put it through the machine. Leather a little bit more rough but it didn’t take out the marks unfortunately.

dinosaurkisses · 26/07/2018 22:45

I put mine in the washing machine whenever it’s a bit mucky. I have the red one as well and it’s come up a treat

haggisflamingohaggis · 26/07/2018 22:46

I put my beige Eiffel Tower one through the wash and it was fine.

TheFaerieQueene · 26/07/2018 22:49

I wash mine (I have many) in a cool wash with woolite. They are fine.
