Wide leg jeans help - to fit over leg cast

Hi everyone

I suffered a terrible injury a few weeks ago and am now stuck in a cast and on crutches/in a wheelchair for some time Hmm. With the weather here set to get a wee bit cooler soon I am now struggling with what on earth to wear over my cast.

Any suggestions on good wide leg jeans? I have 2 lightwight jumlsuits with wide legs but could do with some jeans and struggling with what to go for.

Am petite so around 5'1 and dont want anything too long as a tripping hazard! Any help much appreciated.

Leggings are stretchy you will get them over a cast no problem, but if you are looking for jeans Bon marche jeans are wide

This is not a stylish option, but it is a practical one, having had to spend several years in and out of a cast/wheelchair after an accident. For comfortable, don’t-give-a-shit days I used walking trousers from mountain warehouse. They are soft and very comfortable. Size down. For days when I needed to be more dressy I wore (style alert!) the stretchy wide leg pull on trousers from M&S. again, size down. I never found jeans wide enough to go over the cast, but you may manage if it’s only below knee. Ditto leggings. If I wanted to wear a dress, I would cut the leg off a cheap pair of leggings, at a level just below the cast. Then I’d tuck the cut edge into the cast. I hope one of these ideas help. It’s a total bitch trying to find stuff that will work.
