Yay or nay?!

I’ve been after a nice pair of shoes for a while to wear to weddings, the races etc that are a bit more special than my normal ASOS/Topshop buys. I want black so they go with everything and can be my special occasion go to.

I did originally think Louboutins but I’m more of a sandals than court kind of girl and I love these...only thing I’m worried about is if they will date with the GG logo. These are expensive to me (but I can afford) so want to be able to get plenty of wear out of them! Thoughts please?!

They are beautiful but they are very of the moment trend wise and won't stand the test of time. Gucci block heels in various styles have been around for a couple of years already. Gucci shoes are kind of like Valentino rock studs were for a few years, which are now nowhere to be seen and the high street have copied to death.

How often to do actually go to weddings, races etc, not just think you need shoes should such an event arise? I'm good at this, think I need a wardrobe for all eventualities yet most of them never happen (eyes up beautiful red crepe dress I've finally bagged up to return, it's not needed for the gym/dog walk, work from home life I actually have)

Also, they are summer only shoes really and heatwave included, we only realistically have a couple of months left. So unless you have at least 3 or 4 events planned already this year, I wouldn't bother.
