Am I too old for this jumpsuit?

Be honest, I won't be offended!

I'm looking at this for my holidays, thought it would be nice for the evenings etc. and don't want to spend a lot. Already have a couple of nice dresses but fancied a change. I'm quite small, size 12, was going to wear it with khaki wedges. Will I look like a twat in it?

@Mokepon GrinGrin

I would say exactly the same if I saw someone else post my OP, I just get very self-conscious when it's me. I'm not very good at taking my own advice!

It is lovely and is something my 20yo DD would wear. That said if you have the figure then go for it. Life is too short ...

MeOldBamboo · 22/07/2018 20:36

I love a jumpsuit and I’m 45. Just make sure you try it on and if it looks and feels fabulous, do it!

untilthatday · 22/07/2018 20:38

Stunning. At any age.

untilthatday · 22/07/2018 20:38

Or shape.

VioletCharlotte · 22/07/2018 20:51

It doesn't really matter how old you are... what does it look like on? I saw that in New Look and love the design and colours but didn't like the fabric. But if it suits you and you feel comfortable in it, then go for it!

Treacletoots · 22/07/2018 20:53

I'm 40 and would buy it tomorrow if I wasn't saving :/ you will look super in it.

Peanutbuttercups21 · 22/07/2018 20:54

It's polyester, so boil-in-the bag if you go anywhere warm

fishonabicycle · 23/07/2018 11:32

No! It's lovely and I'm going to see if it suits me (53). Has anyone here tried it? I'm very short (5'1") and petite (6) - will it fit me do you think?

KlutzyDraconequus · 23/07/2018 11:37

How the hell do you go for a dump in one of those?

defineme · 23/07/2018 11:41

It's totally respectable, very popular look at the moment. Loads of women your age at my work wearing that kind of thing.

Floisme · 23/07/2018 11:46

It's just floaty trousers and a joined-on top. The only factors I can see that might be age related are that it assumes 1) a well functioning bladder and 2)(if polyester) a stable body temperature.

Fivelittleduckies · 23/07/2018 11:48

For sure you should get it! Lovely outfit, no matter age or size Smile

hairypaws · 23/07/2018 12:06

I'm 48 and saw this the other day. I love it and would buy it if I was slimmer. Go for it.

nononsene · 23/07/2018 13:59

I saw this today and thought the fabric was horrid sorry.

TroubledLichen · 23/07/2018 14:02

I hate the colour and I think you, or anyone of any age, would look like a deckchair in it. However, no you are definitely not too old to wear a jumpsuit and that sort of style in a different print/fabric could look great.

CAAKE · 23/07/2018 14:03

I saw this in-store the other day. It's quite thick polyester and I think would be sweaty. It's also an odd looking shape. Quite good for the money, though.

asqueezeoflime · 23/07/2018 14:05

It's fab and would look ace

nononsene · 23/07/2018 14:06

But if you wish to wear it then no way are you too old for it.

HelenR9 · 23/07/2018 17:32

I'm older than you and wear a jumpsuit on holiday. I'm told it looks great. Are you going on holiday with someone as some jumpsuits can be a real pain to get off. I was totally stuck in mine in Greece and had to phone reception. A bit of a worry when you're not sure who's going to help. Run the risk and wear it!

TheBigFish · 23/07/2018 18:28

Have you tried it on? I tried it on the other day and it did cling a lot and you could see every bump of my underwear. There was also a red stripe in a v shape right between my legs that kind of drew the eye in a way that you probably wouldn't want...

WilburIsSomePig · 24/07/2018 17:00

Well, it came today. Fits beautifully and is actually really flattering. But oh lordy the fabric is hideous and I fear a naked flame would set me off like a firework. Also, the sleeves and trouser hems are not actually hemmed - just cut so it looks very cheap (which it is). I knew it wouldn't be the best quality for the price but it's a no from me and it's going back.

Oh that's a shame Wilbur, though review has just saved me a trip out to try it on so thanks for that at least! Hope you find something else Smile

I got this one which is so much nicer than in the picture. Also polyester but feels like a much nicer fabric and isn't 'shiny' and stretchy like the other one was. Will be great for my holiday so I'm pleased with it.
