Wand or rollers?

I want my hair to look like this.

I’ve spent so much money on wands and tongs and such but never get the result I want Hmm

I have 3 BaByliss wands, a GHD curve wand, a cheap Tesco’s own tong but still I get nowhere.

Today I have been to boots and purchased another wand 1 Mark Hill mix and match with medium wand and also the BaByliss Ceramic Heated Rollers.

For some reason I have never tried rollers but thought I might give it a go.

So does anyone have any tips to help me achieve this lovely big loose curl? Before I start attacking it with 10 different stylers?

Hair is long, (falls to waist) naturally curly (but very frizzy) and thick - I have so much hair!

Wand or rollers?

Barrel curler, with a massive thick shaft Grin

Whilst that is funny writing thick shaft, I am actually serious and do these curls in my hair with a thick barrel curler.

Rollon can you recommend a massive thick shaft for me?Grin
The one I got today is 32mm barrel.

My BaByliss Boutique loose waves is 34mm and shite.

The GHD curve is 38mm and my hair just falls flat.

My best one is my BaByliss Pearl wand. It’s a thin barrel so doesn’t give me the look I’m after but still gives me nice curls.

I just want my hair to look big and bouncy!

Mine is a babyliss 38mm. I have had a few over the years and I think it’s more to do with the product you use with it rather than the tong. As they can only go to a certain temperature and that’s it, I don’t think they vary that much.

I set mine to 180degrees and use a styling spray before hand, in lots of sections and hairspray each one after I release it as I go. And try not to play with it too much afterwards.

To make your head of hair look bigger alternate the direction of the curls, do you know what I mean? One rolls to the left, the one next to the right, does that make sense?

Sometimes I dry my hair and curl it and then the next day I curl over it again and that makes it last better.

This is what you need. If your hair is thick then I'd blow dry and straighten it first before using this. Doing it from damp would give you mahoooosive volume
