I have dark brown hair and I keep on top of the growing number of greys with a semi permanent dark brown box dye on the roots (I don’t run it down the lengths). Hair is in good condition.
I really need to deal with the greys, but also want to get some purple in there, along the lines of the attached. My hairdresser tried a test strip of 20 vol bleach which came out quite orange. She suggested 40 vol would come out better but she wasn’t allowed to use it (?). Another hairdresser has said she won’t bleach it but I can strip it myself and she can put a colour over it.
I spent years growing out live xxl and it seems it’s been for nothing. Tempted to go back to it, but do I have any other options?
