What to buy from Clarins?

I was very kindly given a £30 Clarins voucher for my Birthday. I’ve never bought much from there, though, so I’m looking for recommendations, please!

I prefer skincare to makeup, I’m 37 with fair, freckly combination and dehydrated skin, I have a few lines around my eyes but otherwise pretty good skin. I love cleansing and masks, but in need of a night time serum at the moment (bloody Superdrug, discontinuing the amazing Optimum anti-glyc range). I had a bad reaction to the Clarins facial sunblock a couple of years ago, so sun care is off the menu.

Thoughts??

The handcream is bliss.
Or one of the facial oils.

mikado1 · 21/07/2018 13:02

The facial oil.

katmunchkin · 21/07/2018 13:11

Tan drops!

Facial oil suited to your skin type

Lotus oil for combination/oily. It’s lovely.

The blue relax shower/bath range. It is like a coma in a bottle. The yellow invigorate one is amazing too. They are about £20 each but so concentrated they last for ages.

I like the fragrances Eau Dynamisante and Eau Resourcante. Worth a sniff!

Their concealer in a tube. The shades are a little darker than they seem at first but works so well for dark under eye circles. The instant radiance concealer is good, too.

WaitrosePigeon · 21/07/2018 23:32

Lipsticks. They stay on all day!

CaseStudyResearch · 21/07/2018 23:42

Facial oil or flash balm

Blue Orchid oil (Or possibly Lotus oil depending on your skin type).

And if you can afford to buy a second product I would time your purchase to get a free gift- they are usually a very generous selection of travel sized products.

This! It's gorgeous. Goes on like gel and turns to oil to cleanse.

What to buy from Clarins?

Hand cream
Lip balms (tinted)
Instant Radiance Concealer
Eau Dynamissant
Beauty Flash Balm
Shower gels
Tinted Primer

All products I’ve repurchased many times.

I quite like their body exfoliating scrub, especially nice for upper arms. With bamboo something or other. If they still do it. I reacted to the facial sunscreen, too - massive spots that took months to heal, used it up on my hands. I like the hand cream, too - smell is divine but it leaves a sort of waxy buildup if you use it too much in one day IME, so it depends how often you'd apply it.

Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed - a daily treat - leaves skin feeling soft and clean

I only buy skincare from Clarins there makeup is not the best as their specialty is definitely skincare. Highly recommend the following:
Pure Melt cleansing gel
I’m fact depending on your skin type all their cleansers are amazing also toners.
Blue orchid oil or Lotus are an absolute must, pure luxury putting these on your face.
Beauty Flash Balm
Hand cream is devine
Extra rich moisturising body lotion is the best
Tan drops are superb (just remember to wash your hands after!)
Double serum

To be honest Clarins are experts at skincare so you can’t go wrong with anything. Agree with above poster, buy 2 products & take advantage of their gifts. They often have them. Have fun, you’ll be addicted 😀

The biphasic eye make up remover (the blue liquid you shake to mix). Gentle on eyes but effective on waterproof eye makeup.
