Style wobble - what do you think of these poor sandals?

Came home delighted with these, but DH took one look and said 'clump frump'.
He has shaken my style confidence. What are we thinking?

At risk of sounding like a Surrendered Wife, in all other areas of life I can make my own decisions. I'm not wearing a red gown and white cap. However in front of clothes, I become blind.

I talked to a stylist who is really really lovely, has an excellent reputation and lots of clients. she told me that dresses are frumpy

My aunty who still dresses well at 79 years old wears sandals like those.
Not for me though.

Im not keen on them either, too clumpy looking and really dont look comfortable.

But why not order them and give them a go, you know sometimes they look better on. I wish they would show a pic with an actual person wearing shoes, just to get a bit more of an idea.

But I do like those other Clarks ones.
