Non ugly Messenger/ crowd body bag for backpacking?

Is it possible that one exists?

All of my bags are quite fancy leather ones that came as a perk with my last job. I've been told these are not suitable. We are travelling around central Asia so nothing too eye-catching and it must be able to hold a water bottle as its going to be 40 degrees!!!

I will have a massive backpack but would like something to use in the day and when doing the touristy things but it will have to survive trekking and camping.

The only thing I've found is the Osprey Jill Mini or Micro flap but I'm not sure if I like it or its just the best I've found. This style is completely away from my normal thing. I do quite like the old fashioned canvas camera/ military style satchels but they all seem too big or £££. I am only 5ft.

Anyone fancy a bag hunt challenge?

I have a retro waxed canvas from Fjalraven but it's quite big.

mountain warehouse, bloke side. you need something without a ton of fashion victim trimmings, decent straps and that you can chuck or wash when it gets soggy and mucky.

I'd look at Rohan, Patagonia, Jack Wolfskin, Fjallraven e.g. www.fjallraven.co.uk/shop/fjallraven-foldsack-no-3-F24225-navy/?sku=7323450022815 or www.rohan.co.uk/travel-bags-Stowaway-Daybag-8-ss16?ocode=04352C18

This comes in pink, grey, and black and is reduced so you won't worry if it's wrecked at the festival.

Or any of these.

I use an ordinary Radley cross body bag when I travel. Plain but tough as old boots. Slip pocket in the front, zipped main pocket and a zipped pocket at the back for security. A 1/2 ltr water bottle fits in the main compartment. Mine's been around South America and India as well as all over Europe.

The dog logo whatsit was the first thing for the bin, other than that, it's been a great buy. They come in different sizes too. I think mine's a medium.
