Shoe suggestions for navy/blue trousers

I'm having to navigate smart casual/business casual for my new job which seems to be a lot more work than casual or business wear if you're not hugely interested in fashion and very interested in comfort Smile

I've think I've cobbled together a couple of suitable outfits but struggling with the shoes. Need to be flat and closed toe, pref not ballerinas and work with navy trousers - see photo

I'd go for tan or brown brogues

Sounds like the same requirements I have, are the closed toes for safety? Do they have to be leather? I have navy brogues and loafers and nude t-bars I wear to work when I want to be subdued. Lots of brighter colours look great with navy: silver, red, green, bright blue, yellow, etc etc. Could you wear trainers if worn the right way? I also have flat mary janes and slippers (higher vamp than ballerinas) that work well for work. Smart/casual tends to be very flexible.

Nude/Metallic loafers. I'm sure Clarks have some.

I’d really like to know where the trousers are from! Navy is my colour, I have about 15 different navy dresses that I rotate for work and I usually wear brown shoes with them.
Love these trousers, I usually avoid trousers because I’m lazy and can’t be bothered to think of 2 things to put together - much easier with 1 dress but these look so nice!

Really chunky fly London shoes would look great

@CakeNinja

The trousers are from a gap outlet - Slim City Crop Pants - but they don't seem to have the same colour options on the website. Sizing is ridiculous though, these are a gap size 2!
