How to buy Havainas from Brazil?

Ironfloor269 · 18/07/2018 08:00

I’ve heard that they are more reasonably priced in Brazil than they are over in the UK. I’m aware that the added shipping cost might bring the cost up to the same retail price, but does anyone know of a way to get them firstly from Brazil?

Thanks.

I think shipping plus customs would negate any saving; to be honest.

Buy them on Amazon. Cheap as chips.

Sparkletastic · 18/07/2018 08:26

Amazon or M&M Direct cheaper than shipping from Brazil.

AnotherRoadsideAttraction · 18/07/2018 08:26

Okay...maybe only a cheap as a plate of hand-cut, truffle oil infused chips sprinkled with shaved truffles (that would probably actually be served on a piece of slate or something equally silly), but you get my drift. Grin

Last pair I bought were £15.

I can't imagine there would be any benefit in shipping them in from Brazil! Have a look in t k maxx.

They work out between 8-10 pounds when you convert Brazilian reals to pounds but parcel post is upwards of £16 for standard to £25 for DHL express (10 days). I don,t think you’d be charged customs duties on top if it was just one pair because the value would be too low but if you were buying more, you may be subject to additional charges.

Basically it’s only worth doing if there’s a style you can’t get in the UK that you MUST have, for cost, it’s pointless

Thanks for your replies.

I've checked at TK Maxx and they don't have the style I'm looking for (basic black or dark blue flip flop with havainas logo in gold, yellow or white) and never in my sodding size.

The style I want on Amazon is never less than £20. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places?

Anyway, will have another look.

I've bought my two pairs from Aldi in Australia they where only $11AUD a pair which is around £6 ..have already lost the 1st pair..wish I bought more :/

Ironfloor269 · 18/07/2018 17:42

@Monday - you found Havainas in ALDI??

OP posts:
Maraki · 18/07/2018 21:31

They were £20 in Brazil at the shops and £6 at the airport (in duty free).

Cheesymonster · 18/07/2018 21:47

I was worried the ones on Amazon would be fake. Today I bought grey Havianas from Office for £18. They have a sale on at the moment and plain white or black ones were £14.

Monday55 · 19/07/2018 00:40

Yet sure did. Didn't even know Australia had Aldi till I got there. I found them randomly browsing bought 2 different designs.

hendricksy · 19/07/2018 09:12

Just pay the £20 , mine last for ages and then get sent to the back door shoe pile and I've got pairs in there that are years old !!!
