Zip or no zip and does it really have to have a hood? Hoods are a nuisance, especially if you ever want to wear a coat over it.

I don't think hoodies are flattering really?! I just pinch DH's old ones. Although I only wear a hoody for outdoors trips when I'm going to get mucky.

The most flattering selection would be in the running section of a shorts shop. Running tops tend to be fitted and slimming. Otherwise this is probably the best of a bad lot

Superdry hoodie. I have a couple of zipped/pullover and can highly recommend.

Flattering will depend on your definition of the word, and your body shape and size.

Do you want it loose or fitted, cropped or long length? Where are you planning on wearing it, just to the gym, just in your home for slobbing, or somewhere you don't mind being seen and want to look fairly decent?

Hoodie as in a pullover with a hood, or a zip fronted hooded sweat jacket?

Do you mind a logo?

I personally have the Acne hooded sweat top which is £££ but superb quality and fleece lined. I wouldn't wear it for the gym though, I wear with jeans and hi-tops.

For the gym and with leggings I have the mens version of this, heavy loopback cotton, but you gotta like a logo!

I prefer Adidas to Nike for clothes, Nike sweat tops don't wash very well IMO.

Gap stuff usually washes well for a good price (sign up for a discount code)
Avoid Sweaty Betty sweatshirts, every one I've had has faded and washed like crap.

I've got this Gap one which is pretty inoffensive, as far as hoodies go.

I got a lovely blue one from Uniqlo. Great price too, £19.90! Here it is in black Uniqlo hoodie

Disclaimer: I haven't worn mine yet as it's been too warm (bastard heatwave) but the fit is good and true to size I'd say.
