Best false lashes for a novice?

Love the look of false lashes but have never applied them myself before! What's the best brand and does anyone have any tips on applying? I don't want anything OTT, just fuller lashes

I like Eyelure Naturals No.031 - they give volume without being too obvious or OTT. Sold at Boots. Lisa Eldridge has a tutorial about how to apply lashes:

A little tube of adhesive comes with the lashes but I use the glue Lisa recommends which is Duo (also at Boots I think). It comes in both black and white and the white fades to transparent once it dries - so I use that as I tend to get it everywhere!

Curl your lashes before you apply them. Mascara afterwards is optional - I don't bother because my natural lashes are dark, so they blend in.

It takes a few tries to get the hang of it but persevere, false lashes are insanely flattering. I don't use them every day though as it's too much of a faff, more for special occasions.

I think individual lashes (the little clusters with 3-5 hairs each) are the easiest to apply and they are very comfortable compared to strip lashes.

I really struggle with strip lashes - applying them is difficult IME and I don't like how heavy they feel on the eye - and I tend to get really subtle ones. However, it may be a matter of getting used to them, and it also depends on the size and shape of your eyes.

I like the Ardell knot free shorter/medium ones, and I use Duo eyelash glue. I just apply 3-4 on each eye.

For strip lashes, I like Ardell 110 as they are very light and subtle. I find the baby demi wispies way too big/long for my eyes.

You can find guides on how to apply lashes on youtube - I've found Lisa Eldridge's guides very good.

my solution was to buy 5 pairs from poundland and just keep practising! duo glue is great.

Failing that, is anyone in Norfolk free to stick them on for me Saturday morning?! Grin
