Back story: I haven't been to a hairdresser for over 3 years. Have grown out a shaved head and hair is now just below shoulder length (all one length) with a full fringe. It's naturally grey but I dye it pastel pink.
It is neither fine nor thick, there's lots of it and it has a slight wave to it which I enhance but it's just feels very flat on top at the minute and like it just hangs there (unless I curl it). I'd love something with more volume and texture. Am happy to spend a bit of time styling in the mornings if required.
My main reservation is that I'm absolutely terrified of layers after far too many godawful Rachel cuts/mumsy flicky nightmare cuts over the years 😱.
Oh and I still want to be able to use tongs/ghds to give it curl for nights out etc so don't want any super short layers.
Found this before and after on Reddit and absolutely adore the shag cut.
Do you think it would work on my hair?
