Foundation for wedding day

Anyone have advice on foundation for photos, particularly if flash is needed indoors as concerned about dreaded ghost face/flash back. Majority of foundations now have an spf in them which is the culprit for this.

Anyone managed to wear dw and not get flashback, as it's my favourite but is known to be a bugger for it.

Double wear set with a fine powder that matches should do the trick!

I used this OP! Buildable and no SPF so no risk of the dreaded ghost-face.

Was just about to post mine without reading the other comments...snap LadyGrey66!

No spf, not too heavy and natural looking.

Good luck op, hope you have a fabulous day!

I used Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk with a fine layer of Laura Mercier setting powder. The coverage is buildable so that I could see my freckles but hide any imperfections. No flashback what so ever.

I hope you have an awesome day Smile

I used dw for my wedding as did all my bridesmaids and we had zero flashback. Stayed on for 20 hours too .

lalascribbles · 15/07/2018 16:35

@ExplodingCarrots which primer, setting spray, powers etc did you use. Also did you have any photos inside or evening photos that needed flash?

Just keep it flatteringly light to avoid the tranny look.

In the photos in later years you want to look like a bride not a stripper Grin

Before my wedding I went to Space Nk, gave them my brief and they picked everything for me and the lady gave me lots of really good advise.

I still use those products to this day.

@lalascribbles I don't know what primer or setting power my MUA used sorry. She dont use setting sprays. Yes we had pictures inside and out using flash and both were fine . I was a bit nervous myself but I knew my MUA always uses dw and her brides have never had an issue.

lalascribbles · 15/07/2018 16:49

Thank you all. I'm not actually the bride, am helping bride work out her makeup, and I'm a BM and don't want to wreck photos looking like morticia.

I'm a double wear user and used it on my wedding day and no problems with official photos but I don't think they required flash. A couple of photos others have taken I look quite pale in so there is flashback.
