Help me find a dress for a posh wedding!

Invite has arrived this morning for a family member's wedding in six weeks time. That seems very short notice so I'm guessing I was on the reserves list! Its at a very fancy venue so I'm going to have to put some effort in but I'm short on budget and I have trouble working out what suits me. I'd like to look nice but also comfortable.

Can anyone help me find something?

Body shape: at the moment it's best described as a sack of shite tied in the middle. I am large of breast and hips, waist is defined but I have jiggly post-baby belly so would like to define my waist while hiding my tum. I'll be wearing industrial strength Spanx and a push up bra. DD is BF but I don't need a dress I can BF in as she's not going.

Must haves: sleeves, if possible, or else be pairable with some sort of jacket as I really don't like my arms.

Colour: judging by the invitation and things that have been mentioned, I think the colour scheme is various shades of blue so nothing blue. I have dark hair, got a nice tan at the moment, and brown eyes plus it's a late summer wedding so I'd guess summer colours would be the best thing to wear?

I don't need shoes as I have some of my own I can choose from plus a cousin with the same sized feet and a major heels habit who doesn't mind lending me some.

Budget, including accessories, is £100-£120.

I'd say a small 18 though and I'm losing I'm losing weight so likely I'd be able to fit a 16 by the time it rolls around.

Monsoon, Phase 8 and Coast are your friends. Be quick as the John Lewis clearance sale is ending shortly.

Agree with the above! I'm the same size as you and this from phase 8 at the Debenhams sale made me feel so comfortable- spanx came off halfway thru the wedding ha ha. It's lined so doesn't sit 'clingy'. Good luck!

Would wide leg trousers and a nice top work?
