Why is it so hard to find a nice, flattering, office suitable summer dress?

UGH.

All I want is a nice, light dress, that isn't see through or too short or too long. Knee length or just above.

I want short, flappy sleeves (not strappy). I don't want it too tight, but I like when they go in around the waist.

Asda had some lovely dresses for £14, but they quickly sold out and haven't been back in since

ANy tips for nice summer dress shops, that are also reasonably priced?

They are pricey but Boden has brilliant summers dresses that last year for year. Worth the cash in my opinion. I imagine they are sold out of lots of sizes though as it’s quite late in the season?

Zara and Mango had lots of shirt dresses this season in cotton and linen so worth a look.

Plus size only but it's so lightweight, jersey lined and chiffon overlay. Plus decent sized pockets! Looks nicer on than on the model.

Oh god tell me about it! I get a dress, bring it home and then realise just how see through it is!

Although I find Sainsburys have some great stuff in at the moment and ASOS is also good - they have a sale on at the moment.

If that fails, maybe go onto Ebay! I love going on there. You can perhaps find a floaty midi skirt too.

Look a lot more flattering on that in pics and I’ve had a few people come up to me and ask where mine is from. Just above knee with sleeves and pockets! They aren’t cheap but will last.

I've found some nice summery work dresses in New Look and H&M this summer.

Next have had some lovely linen dresses in this year.

Simply be had a few nice ones I was there yesterday. Got a good sale online also

Oliver Bonas have nice dresses. I recently got a very dark green knee length dress with short kimono style sleeves and a tie belt and it's gorgeous.
