Does anyone have any or any BB/CC creams for under a tenner or so they'd recommend. Combination of suntan and hot weather means my normal foundation choices look too much?

Garnier is everywhere but Im sure when I tried it when it came out it Trumped me. I am currently a 30 in Chanel/Dior.

Thanks

I’m using Bioderma BB cream which is SPF 30, but I’m using it over the top of No.7 protect and perfect facial sunscreen.

I think the BB cream coverage would be too thick if I used enough of it to rely on the SPF protection.

The combination of the two is great though.

I use the la roche possay bb which I love, although I'd never rely on a bb for spf so put biore watery essence Sun cream underneath.

Superdrug has an anti ageing BB which has spf 30. I have it and do like it a lot.

But id never trust a BB cream alone for sunscreen. I always put spf underneath anyway.

Wayne Goss did a really good YouTube video about how much sun protection is in the tiny amount of foundation you actually use.

I think Elspeth is probably right to use proper sunscreen first.

Thank you, I do use factor 50 on my face too (Clarins or LRP) but I just want belt and braces.

I've some of that No7 LoveInTokyo but Ive found it really dark?!

ElspethFlashman I've been looking at that Superdrug one, what share do you use and does it run dark/light? It really annoys me there are always foundation testers yet never BB creams

Thank you

The No7 stuff I’m using isn’t tinted, it’s just the sun screen. I find it very moisturising so I put that on first, let it soak in a bit, then I use the BB cream on top and a bit of powder to set it.

Boots no7 B.B. cream is spf 15

ElspethFlashman · 16/07/2018 14:21

I have the light. It's OK, fairly neutral and probably matches the Ivory shade in Rimmel foundations (which is what I'd call Medium Light as opposed to Light Light).

I still have to bring it down my neck but I have to do that for everything. It wears off very evenly which I do like very much.

I think I remember Nivea doing a good one. I use an Ultrasun one as a make up base but guess that is not particularly cheap!

Boots Soltan face do one, or at last did about a year ago. I only wear it when I go out in the evening and don't need too much protection. Otherwise like a PP said, there would be too heavy a tint to get enough sun protection.
