Ballet Flats

A bit like cotton, leather shoes are becoming a nightmare to find. I'm after a leather ballet flat for a wide size 8 foot. Is this even possible? Having hard time finding any that aren't for OAPs (no offence intended)..

Do Clarks not do them?

Baumederose · 14/07/2018 16:12

Cocorose London do excellent flats and they have a sale on at the moment

thedevilinablackdress · 14/07/2018 16:12

Clarks?

Baumederose · 14/07/2018 16:13

Ps They go up to a 9 at coco

I am a 7-8 and wide foot

I buy an 8 and they are very comfy

ICanOnlyLaugh · 14/07/2018 16:13

Bloch do them (I mean proper ballet flats for everyday wear, not just dance shoes!)

ReadingRiot · 14/07/2018 16:15

I agree OP. You even have to be careful in Clarks now, not all theirs are leather

LassWiADelicateAir · 14/07/2018 16:16

Pretty Ballerina. I don't think they have shops outside London. I've bought in store and online. Their sizes are very standard so online is fine. I love them.

There is also French Sole but I think Pretty Ballerina are nicer.

french sole are nice but they often say they are for narrow to medium width feet and recommend sizing up then dont ever have a size 9?!

prett ballerinas are maybe too expensive although i guess i would spend for the right pair.

Cocorose look good but the fact they fold puts me off - whats that all about?!

Long Tall Sally

Clark’s, come in wide fit

several styles at Land’s End, order US size, 8 is a 10 they are on the wide side

Boden, but very narrow fitting

<a class="break-all" href="//m.asos.com/asos/asos-m.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-shoes-boots/flats/a0154-blk/womens-black-ballerinas" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">lifesaver-leather-ballet-flats/prd/8062536?clr=black&SearchQuery=ballet%20flats&gridcolumn=1&gridrow=2&gridsize=2&pge=1&pgesize=72&totalstyles=194 ASOS, not sure how wide they come up

Have you looked at French Sole? I am a wide 9, and their sizes are far too petite for me!

Easy to filter on the Clarks website for leather, suede

LassWiADelicateAir · 14/07/2018 16:30

Yes I think French Sole can be neat. I haven't bought anything from them in a long time mainly because of a very snooty assistant in the Sloane Street branch.

ThatsNotMyUnicorn · 14/07/2018 16:34

I have a pair from next in size 8 wide-I've found next have become quite good a having lots of wide fit choice.

I have a pair of Cocrose but I only use them at things like ceilidhs, wedding dances and the like where I swap my "proper shoes" for dancing and/or walking home. They fold up and easily fit in to a small handbag. They come with a little fold up cotton bag you can put your "real shoes" in.

Ferrero83 · 14/07/2018 21:18

Zara have some leather ballerinas at the moment which go up to a size 9 in different colours.

BubblesBuddy · 14/07/2018 21:41

French Sole come up a bit wide if you can get the woven leather ones. They stretch and I do have fairly wide feet and I have found them excellent. I didn’t size up. Good value in the sales.
