Laser hair removal full leg and bikini

I've the appointment booked! Has anyone gotten this area done? Any tips or advice?

I've gotten my lip and chin done before, is the bikini or leg area more painful?

In order of least to most IMO:
shins - calves - backs of thighs - sides of face and chin - fronts of thighs and front bikini line - inner leg bikini line - bony bits like knees, ankles and toes

(I had extended bikini line, not the Brazilian/hollywood type.)

But it's a long time since my legs were hairy enough for lasering there to be anything more than top ups, and I had face stuff done much more recently. Legs get less painful as more hair is zapped off, but it doesn't seem to change much on more sensitive or bony areas.

In some ways I found front thighs worst because it lasted longest, but I don't accumulate much fat on the fronts of my thighs - it goes elsewhere - so that was probably something to do with it. Apparently not everyone finds front thighs more painful than other bits of main leg like I did.

I can't deal with the pain/discomfort and have a conversation at the same time, and I explain at the start that I won't want to chat, so they don't find me too rude. Sometimes I listened to music but the player was a faff to deal with when moving about and I stopped bothering. (I guess may be easier for people who have wireless headphones now.) But different people have different ways of dealing with it.

urgh, hate not being able to edit posts - upper lip should have been between front thighs and inner leg bikini line in the list of how much various areas hurt

Thanks for the great response! I don't think ill be getting Hollywood or Brazilian done just extended bikini line.

Are you happy with the results? Did it take many sessions?

I did have more than the average number of sessions. I went to different salons because I moved, and I did a lot of it in dribs and drabs according to what money I had available at the time. I had lasering on a lot of different areas too, so they're all somewhat blurred. I got top ups every now and again until I was satisfied with it staying away. I am a bit more relaxed now. Legs were done at various times 6-14 years ago now and most of it is still gone, especially the worst thick dark hair. The technology was improving a lot over that period too and some of the earlier places just weren't as effective. The later, good places I went to were using Cynosure Elite machines.

It's strange thinking that I used to have awful pube-textured dark hair all down the backs of my thighs, with lots of ingrowns, because I'm so used to its absence now.

It's the areas with finer, lighter hair where it's most likely to return - upper arms and front thighs for me. The thighs still look and feel fine with an occasional shave, like not even every week, not that I hang out with very glam high maintenance people.
