Is this skirt nice, or does it look like a child's?

I'm not sure if it looks lovely, or whether it looks like it's for a child?! Help me make me mind up! Also, if you do like it, what could I wear it with? I wouldn't want to wear it with just a plain white tee.

I actually had something very similar as a child in the 80s, so it's a no from me I'm afraid.

I think with that colour denim you can wear it with any plain top. I tend to match my short denim skirt with pink.

Thank you for your replies! I think I might order one and see what it's like, as the embroidered spots are pretty colours as well. Never ordered from there before, I hope sizing is accurate, and quality is good!

I really like it! I've had a couple of things from them and quality is good.

Hm definitely not my style but i wouldn't bat an eye at that on an adult.

I am a bit sensitive to these things because I dread looking like a ‘unicorn woman’ (I.e. somebody who doesn’t want to take responsibility for anything or behave like a grown up and takes refuge in behaving in a childlike way and professing her love of unicorns).

I think anyone over 21 would look a bit soft in that. Sorry!

tbf I think there is a world of difference between unicorn women & this skirt paired with a tshirt. But if we all liked & wore the same thing life would be boring!

I love it but I wouldn't have the balls to wear it - I'd feel like ab over grown toddler. I bet I'd love it if I saw it on someone in the street through. It'd look lovely with a light pink T-shirt.

I also had a very similar skirt when I was ten. It's a bit Meh for me, but then I like strong patterns and shapes. I wouldn't be surprised to see this in Next.
I honestly wouldn't think anything if I saw it - it's very inoffensive.
On a side note, I find a lot of And Other Stories styling a bit Emperor's New Clothes - it's like they've taken Alexa Chung as their poster child and just run with it.

I had a similar shaped one when I was 15 without the spots I rocked it with outrageously lacy black tights and ballet pumps

I like it! It looks really good with the T Shirt and it's just really fun.

I think I would prefer it if it just stuck to one colour dot rather than different colours but that's just personal taste.

I'm a firm believer in wearing whatever you want and age should never come into it.

It looks like it will ride up when you walk and the waist will end up under your boobs.

Lol, I am a bit of a 'unicorn woman'. I'm not all out Disney T Shirts and Hello Kitty everything, but I do like a unicorn here and there, polka dots, maybe a holographic accessory. I am a 34 year old mother of two, and I can assure you that my clothing choices have no link to my ability to take responsibility for things in my life or my behaviour as a grown up 😂
