Flat shoes for interview

Can anyone find me some smart flat shoes for a job interview? I think heels are generally smarter but I can’t wear them because of spinal issues, and I can’t seem to find any flats that I like.

Brogues!

eggncress · 13/07/2018 16:18

What about low kitten heels ?

Bluelady · 13/07/2018 16:23

Kitten heels - loads in Zara and M&S.

Beehiveyourself · 13/07/2018 16:26

To wear with what? Suit, trousers, skirt?

FoxAndBear · 13/07/2018 16:29

New look always have a big selection of brogues and pumps that are smart enough for interviews.

The kitten heel suggestions 🤢

Beehiveyourself · 13/07/2018 16:30

How about some loafers?

thedevilinablackdress · 13/07/2018 16:34

Loads in Clarks. What are you after? Brogues, loafers, mary janes, ballet pumps, fancy skater, sandals?

CountFosco · 13/07/2018 17:52

You need enbrogue. No kitten heels in sight. COS, Finery, Dune, Rogue Matilda, Clarks all do work appropriate flat shoes. Either go down the masculine shoe route (brogues, derbys, oxfords, loafers) or go for pointy flats.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 13/07/2018 17:54

I like a pointy flat for work. So much more comfortable if you’re doing any amount of walking.

Wiggler1 · 13/07/2018 19:58

Probably a dress and jacket. Can’t even do a kitten heel, sob. Do you think brogues are smart enough? I feel like flats with points make me look like something out of the witches!

I would go for patent loafers, subtle greys, blues and pinks or black if you must. Something like these for if you need a pair of shoes for the office in my opinion : www.xylondon.com/amy-grey-patent-flat-tassel-loafers

Smart but casual doesn't need to be too boring though!

chaunceygardener · 13/07/2018 20:54

Yep, loafers. Classic and classy.

thenorthernluce · 13/07/2018 21:17

My sister raves about ASOS Mojito brogues. She wore them for a formal work event around London last week and swore her feet didn’t get hot, swollen or sore, even in the heat.

Bluelady · 13/07/2018 21:59

I love the Mojio brogues but had to return them as they gaped. I was gutted.

Processedpea · 13/07/2018 22:01

dune guilt loafers are v smart and classic

CountFosco · 14/07/2018 07:58

If you go for brogues or loafers with a dress match the shoe colour (more or less!) to your leg colour to avoid the WPC/librarian look.

Bourgainvillia · 14/07/2018 22:59

I would go for subtle colours not bright ones, blue/grey or damask pink tones in Loafers.

Bourgainvillia · 16/07/2018 20:33

Anyone checked out m&s office style shoes lately, was in there today and quite impressed.

GeekyBlinders · 16/07/2018 20:37

I’d just wear nice smart ballet pumps.

Bourgainvillia · 20/07/2018 19:44

Nice. If they're in HOF better get them quick as they might not be around for long!

Bourgainvillia · 22/07/2018 16:45
