Has anyone used lookiero? I've just seen it on Facebook, done the profile and think it could be really handy.

Just wondered if anyone has used it and if the clothes you were sent were any good?

I've just received my first box (ordered about a week ago). Clothes are all quite nice and it was fun unpacking them but unfortunately they aren't quite me or don't fit perfectly. Have filled in the returns info online and will take back to the post office tomorrow. Wouldn't say that I don't recommend them as I'm super fussy with clothes. As far as I can work out I now have a stylist so if I wanted another box she would take account of my feedback on the items I didn't like before sending me others.

ilovewinterpansies · 31/07/2018 06:00

Any update on this thread?

Just signed up and have my first order coming in a couple of weeks. Will be interested to see what they've chosen!!

ilovewinterpansies · 17/08/2018 14:37

Just wanted to follow up - received my box with 5 items. Absolutely ADORE 4 of the 5 and they all fit really well. Totally things that I would never have chosen myself but that look really good on. Am so stuck in a style rut and it's great to get a bit of inspiration.

V v happy!! Let's see what happens with the next box and how easy it is to "checkout" and return things.

JoeGoldbergsMug · 17/08/2018 18:11

I'm on my second box. I kept one item from the first box and from my second box I'll keep a couple. Returns etc are very easy. I'm going to try casual weekend wear next time as the office wear isn't really me.
I am super fussy though.

LucyDeadman · 26/08/2018 10:58

I just got my first box, the whole thing is so for me, I can't do clothes shopping. It also gives me more confidence if someone else is saying "you can totally pull off this look".
I did a video review for YouTube as there weren't many on there.

Hope this helps!!
igglu · 31/08/2018 13:48

Totally forgot that I'd started this thread! Thanks everyone, it sounds good so I think I'll give it a go.

I've always been a bit reluctant to go and do a personal shopper session because I think I'd feel obliged to buy stuff even if I wasn't keen but this sounds perfect.

ilovewinterpansies · 31/08/2018 18:01

@igglu I'd totally recommend it. No commitment and no pressure!

@LucyDeadman thanks for the vid. Similar to my experience - generally delighted and I agree it's nice to have someone else pick stuff out and say hey this will look good! And it does! Because I'd never in a million years pick those things off a shelf but I totally love the items that were picked.

Basically it's good for people like me who are fairly adventurous and want to look good but have no time and no mental space left to shop and choose new outfits.

poppybell · 12/09/2018 12:02

I got my first box today. I could tell that the stylist had taken my requests into account and everything fit well, I just didn't like anything enough to keep, and one or two things were a bit too garish for my liking. I might give it one more try though, as it did feel like Christmas getting a big box of clothes that someone else had chosen.

boomtown89 · 15/11/2018 18:28

I wouldn't even bother it says 25 pound subscription and then I received my box and they were looking me to pay 172 pound for the 5 items no chance they were not even that nice of clothing I'll just stick to my high street clothes lol

lurkingattheback · 15/11/2018 18:31

I've tried it. Kept a few items. The returns is a pain, as it's Dpd drop off and my local one is a nightmare to park at.

phillips96 · 23/11/2018 13:53

I've never tried this company but I have just received my second box from a company called Proeve and I am very impressed. It is a similar business it seems too Lookiero, but solely for workwear, because I don't know about you, but finding the time to shop AND look good for work is impossible.

The stylist I spoke to thought about every requirement I gave her and I felt no pressure to purchase as I know other companies can make you feel. Returning the couple of items I didn't want was easy and following the first box they followed up to see what they could improve on and I have to say I am hugely impressed.

Highly recommend, thought I should share this little known gem

Sturmundcalm · 07/02/2019 21:26

I've ordered a box (which is due to arrive Tuesday) so will see how it goes - bit worried as I'm not a very standard size and it may all be too expensive for me but fingers crossed. I could do with being inspired!

CremeDeSudo · 08/02/2019 10:58

I'm also curious about this as it keeps popping up on my social media. I'm already a bit of a shopaholic however, so not sure it would be a sensible thing for me to sign up to!

Sturmundcalm · 08/02/2019 16:59

I've done the on-demand version so that I'm not signed up to multiple boxes. Not honestly sure whether I'd pay £10 on a regular basis for someone to select stuff for me but I've ended up that a few of my "failsafe" brands don't exist any more and could do with finding new ones as I prefer to shop online rather than instore.

Sturmundcalm · 13/02/2019 18:36

my box arrived this evening and I'm going to be returning everything... i feel bad in one way but in another i really don't think they paid any attention to the comments i made about my usual style (e.g. i said i wear a lot of black with green/pink/blue to break it up a bit and i have a pale pink and cream skirt with a cream blouse; also mentioned that i have a lot of formal events coming up and don't have anything included that would be suitable).

on the more positive most of the clothes are decent quality, and while i mainly buy in the sales so have a low price-threshold they are reasonable value.

CremeDeSudo · 13/02/2019 19:03

Thanks for the update. What sort of brands were included?

Sturmundcalm · 16/02/2019 08:30

sorry, had to find the bits of paper cause none of them were brands i knew:
2 * AKOZ
Kaffe
Skatie
A/1 Wardrobe

CremeDeSudo · 16/02/2019 12:02

Never heard of any of them either..not sure if that makes me like them better or not

TOMMYLEE13 · 09/05/2019 23:26

Hi I got mine through the post today my first box lookiero anyone tell me how it works how much they take out my bank

Noeliasantana · 03/10/2019 11:21

Hi! I was checking on reviews of Lookiero and I have seen a lot of mix feelings about it. If you would like to try something more personalised I have started a similar service, it is more about what you need and want rather than just sending you a bunch of stuff that you might like or not.
If any of you feel like trying it out let me know and we can have a chat.

I’ve been using stitchfix for the last four months with mixed results, is anyone using that?

Justonedayatatime11 · 03/10/2019 19:24

I use Stitchfix and it's a hundred times better than Lookiero. I've been happy with 90% of what Stitchfix have sent, the Lookiero one seemed to think I was 70 rather than 34! Also sent really cheap, nasty material clothing

Cerseilannisterinthesnow · 04/10/2019 13:45

I got my first stitch fix box this week and love everything! Got a gorgeous wool coat from mango, floral shirt from mango, black skinny jeans that fit perfectly, a lovely warm jumper and a mustard bag, all definitely my style!

Karcheer · 04/10/2019 14:16

I’ve really enjoyed mine, although I’ve only kept two things per box so far, but it has made me re love some things I already had in my wardrobe 😊

lozya · 11/10/2019 18:49

Don’t bother with Lookiero. Poor quality clothes. Unimaginative: blue jeans and black trousers!
No prepaid label or bag and it took 24 hrs for a human to re-set my password. (Never heard of automated re-sets?!)
Oh, and then it took ten days for return - using their service - to reach them. Disappointing and painful experience all round. Avoid.
