Shellac toe varnish dupe

I'm after a colour for my toes that looks like shellac once on! I like bright pinks generally but would also wear an orangey shade. Does anyone know of one?

Shellac is a brand name of hybrid gel polish made my CND. Do you want a cheaper gel polish or a classic varnish with the shine of a gel?

Just one i can apply myself at home but that looks as good as a shellac!

I've been using this for the last month or so Rimmel I got it on 3 for 2 and it seems to last well (about 2 weeks per application), even in sandals/flip flops all the time!
It's 2 coats of the colour and 1 coat of the top coat.

You need CND Vinylux. It's vinyl varnish almost as durable as shellac.

Use Sally Hansen gel top coat which is ultra shiny and you have shellac experience right there.

I was going to say the same as loveinacoldclimate I'm using the CND Vinylux top coat too.

I get mine from Nail Polish Direct

Sorry affectioninacoldclimate

Barry M gelly hi shine is great. Bright colours and really lasts.

@WinkysTeatowel ha ha. You got it right though. It's a riff on Nancy Mitford Grin

Thanks for the tip re Vinylux top coat. I've never thought about it even though it's blindingly obvious right?

Final tip to OP - use two layers of base coat and let it dry thoroughly before applying the Vinylux varnish. Vinylux really bonds with the nails and can stain so base coat is a must. You can take it off like a normal varnish but I soak it for a minute first with a pad drenched in varnish remover to shift it.
